Who says there’s nothing to do in Woodstock? Have you noticed the kids on the Village Green who appear to be tight-rope walking?
Found out this evening that what you’re seeing is something a little different — an activity called SLACK-LINING. A piece of stretchy dynamic webbing whose tension can be modified is tied between two trees and then the balancing fun and tricks can begin.
Woodstock’s own Michael Ricci, back for the summer from the University of Rhode Island, has become quite skilled with this balancing act. He says slack lining first gained popularity with climbers and is often found as a sidebar activity at climbing gyms.
