Cardigan Time! Michelle Obama to Visit Vermont

The Vermont Democratic Party is bringing First Lady Michelle Obama to Burlington on June 30th. It’s a fundraiser for anyone wanting to support President Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign. The event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in South Burlington.

Here is info for anyone interested in going. Yeah, it costs money and means you will be making a political contribution but for Vermont Dem’s and/or anyone interested in the First Lady’s “Get Out and Move” campaign  I would assume it’s a “must-do”.

Although it’s exciting to have the First Lady here, we still have not seen the basketball playing, Bin-Laden slaying President himself.

Vermont was the only state not visited by President George W. Bush. However, First Lady Laura Bush graciously came to the state twice including a visit to Woodstock a couple summers back where she went hiking with friends at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Hillary Clinton also came to town back in the day…See your local historians at the Woodstock Historical Society for info on past important political visits!

See if we’d only had an “early bird tip!” Nice that she visits up here without a lot of fanfare and, of course, supports a Vermont company!
