Woodstock’s own cow manure-methane powered trolley will be back circling through town starting the Fourth of July weekend according to representatives of the Two-Rivers Ottauquechee Commission.
The Woodstock Trolley had its first full season last summer and some adjustments have been made to its schedule. This summer it will not run during the week, only on Saturdays and Sundays, generally from 1115am to 5pm-ish. The trolley is free and a great way to get around the Village with perennial fave Woodstock local “Carlisle” (no relation) as driver and master of ceremonies.

Village Trustees have approved signage that will be put up permanently for the summer and fall season and taken down for the winter. The signs will provide both schedule information and historical interpretive information about the various trolley stops.
The Woodstock Historical Society, National Park Service and Advance Transit are partnering with the trolley service on the project.
