Boots Off: Appalachian Trail Hiker is Early Bird of the Day!

Boots Off: Ryan from Connecticut waits for the bus in Woodstock

The Appalachian Trail is about 2,181 miles long stretching from Georgia to Maine. It meanders through Vermont passing within about four miles of Woodstock.

Nursing some blisters and a cold and clutching a roll of toilet paper (for the cold we presume)  after a wet few days on the trail, we found Ryan from Connecticut waiting for the bus outside People’s Bank this morning.

He says Vermont Transit doesn’t normally stop here but you can call ahead to get it to stop as it’s going on to White River Junction. He was expecting a pick-up around 7am. Good to know!
