1. We’re still waiting for official word from Town Manager Phil Swanson that Woodstock will have a new police chief to replace outgoing Chief Byron Kelly, Jr. who is due to exit his post in less than a month.
2. The Woodstock Development Review Board meets tonight at 7:30pm.
3. Mon Vert Cafe is closed Tuesday (today) AND closed Wednesday (tomorrow) so Laura and Cameron can wrap up some loose ends back in the Big City. It’s really none of our business what they’re doing on their days off and we want them and their business to have longevity here, so if that means a day or two without the best coffee in Woodstock, then we’ll just have to suck it up and deal with it.
4. Witnessed an out-of-state plate’r honking and running an apparently slower moving Vermonter completely off the road on Rt. 4 in front of the Woodstock Farmer’s Market this morning. Early. Really? I know we all get frustrated this time of year what with all the traffic, Early Bird included, but it would be nice if some visitors left the Big City rat race ‘tude at home.
5. Anything else out there Woodstock Early Birds? I hear some of you thought you had subscribed but didn’t get to the 2nd step. You enter your email address to the right, then go to your own “In” Box or Spam file and find a link from WordPress that asks you to confirm that you really did mean to subscribe! Of course you did! 🙂 Then, you can get each Woodstock Early Bird news update as it happens without having to remember the web address. You’ll be part of that special community that is “In-the-Know” about what’s happening right now.
Woodstock Early Bird, a so-far a very non-profit effort, is reaching its first month of “Blogging Woodstock.” Thanks y’all for the interest and support! Remember: The Early Bird catches the worm! earlybirdtips@yahoo.com
