For those of you waiting to find out who the next Woodstock Police Chief will be: the word is we have to keep waiting.
While earlier this week Woodstock Early Bird confirmed, from several sources, the name of one definite finalist, we are holding onto the name out of respect for the hiring process. Town Manager Phil Swanson today reported to Early Bird that background checks are being run on not one, but two finalists. So, according to Swanson, an offer has not yet been made. Swanson says once the background checks are clear, he will ask Village Trustees to make an offer. Hope one of the candidate’s good Vermont blood hasn’t gotten too thin. Just sayin’.
