Woodstock Village officials report that an individual was identified with property from a car on a second night of Village car thefts Thursday.
According to one official, an individual was seen with property from a car in the area of the Cabot Funeral Home on Thursday night by a Woodstock Village Police Officer. The officer is reported to have “made contact” — as they say — and chased the individual into nearby woods. It is not known if the individual was apprehended or arrested or whether the individual had anything to do with a series of thefts on High Street on Wednesday evening. Simultaneously,according to a Village official, an individual from High Street has given police a firm lead about at least one possible suspect in the car theft break-ins.
