Andrea’s Cool Art: Road Trip to Rochester (Vermont)

Editor’s Update: The Show is Now Open! Not only will you find Andrea’s pottery but also drawings and felt creations…

You may know Andrea Trzaskos as your local gardener, landscape artiste, former Woodstock  firefighter, WFM employee  or acerbic commentator on most  things Vermont.

But, who knew — well I didn’t — that she is also an artist?

This winter Andrea got inspired by  herons (or heron) and – as shown here –  went to town. I commented that this  pottery  looks almost like  ancient Greek  or  Roman  art . Trzaskos says she’s  getting a lot of that, but really she  just likes herons and this is what she made.

Check Andrea’s new  show in Rochester, Vermont starting tomorrow, July 12th through August 6th.   The opening reception is this Saturday, July 16th from 4-6pm. The Spontaneous Intermittent  Gallery where she’s showing is in the back room of the Judy Jensen Clay Studio on Route 100. It adjoins the Rochester Cafe in Rochester  Village.

P.S. Woodstock Early Bird notices that you could hit the art scene twice by going to  another  opening that same day  at Big Town Gallery . Rochester also has a good espresso place AND a great bike shop. It’s  near wonderful hiking trails in the Green Mountain National Forest up Brandon and Middlebury Gaps….make a day trip of it.

I think the other gallery you were referring to that has an opening on Saturday is Big Town Gallery in Rochester…
