Gareth Henderson, Megan and Christine Orcutt on a recent visit to Mon Vert Cafe for some family reading and lounging time
Former Vermont Standard Assistant Editor Gareth Henderson and his wife Artist Christine Orcutt will be spending the next year in Florida working on their respective crafts. Henderson, who tirelessly reported for the Standard for about ten years expects to do more freelance writing especially on business topics while his wife, Christine, takes classes at an art school.
Orcutt is a painter and local art teacher, having recently given classes at Purple Crayon. She also took her interest in horses — which she paints — to a new level by bringing a live pony into the AVA Gallery in Lebanon.
As part of the kids’ art experience at AVA, they also created a Trojan Horse. The young family expect to return to Vermont at some point in the near future but is excited about their “leave of absence.”
