Town Manager Phil Swanson Swears in Police Chief Robbie Blish
It’s official. Woodstock has a new police chief.
Town Manager Phil Swanson swore in Robbie Blish at the Woodstock Town Hall this morning.
If you see a cheerful person in a Hawaiian shirt, lei and carrying some sort of umbrella-garnished beverage , it’s likely to be now-RETIRED Chief Byron Kelly, Jr.
Kelly is trained as an EMT and is part of a regular Woodstock Ambulance crew so he will still be on hand to serve Woodstock. However, he plans to take off three months from everything at an undisclosed location (well, at least to Early Birds). The flashy “casual” outfit might tip us off to his former personage.
Good to get out now and meet Chief Blish under favorable conditions since we’re not really wanting to make his acquaintance under less than optimum circumstances…
