Woodstock Early Birds may encounter limited and early traffic delays this morning in front of the Town Hall as a very old fuel tank is removed and a new one put in. Fuel tank to keep the Town Hall warm in the bitterest of winters. New tank will be tethered so as not to up and float away during periodic flooding. Environmental regulators (and we, the general public) are not big fans of tanks full of oil floating down the Ottauquechee like that poor pig from the McDonald’s farm years back. Not that the poor pig was a polluter but you get the idea — bobbing foreign objects subject to leakage — not a good thing. I’m thinking the Yellowstone River this year.
Bottom line: Possibly temporarily irritating traffic delay in the next few hours.
