True Blood: Yours

If you’ve  been thinking of giving your very own true blood to help those with medical needs, American Red Cross workers will be set-up at the Woodstock Elementary School Friday afternoon  from 12:30pm to 5:30pm.  They will be happy to help relieve you of just a bit of  your life-giving fluids.

And in another area of good deeds and fluids, I see Harpoon Brewery is having its now annual  Point to Point Bike Ride on August 13th to raise funds for the Vermont Foodbank. Hard-core and you know what you’re doing — go all the way from Williston to Windsor. That’s a long ride. Maybe Bethel to Windsor is best for the more moderate athletes (50 miles) or for the “Just wanna’ go for it”  crowd, how about a 25 mile ride in the Windsor itself?  Harpoon Brewery is based there and I’m sure a little cool beverage  with an orange slice might be available should you decide to ride and help others as you do.  All you need to know to sign up, etc. at the link above.

Give Blood. Ride A Bike. Enjoy a Beer. Probably not in that order or all at once. Moderation mes enfants, moderation.
