Mutt Mitts: Less Expensive, Less Harmful to the Environment

Woodstock Early Bird is pleased to announce that Village  of Woodstock officials and Town Manager Phil Swanson  have responded excellently to complaints from taxpayers  about previous dog-doo pick-up bags.

These officials recently found less expensive , lighter-weight and less environmentally harmful baggies to help we dog walkers keep the place proper. We now have  MUTT MITTS!

I know, it’s been quite an alliterative summer what with our new  MUFFIN MONSTER and now MUTT MITTS. But, as any pooch walker will tell you who does the  daily doo, the old bags were like hefty bags, helpful but hefty and obviously expensive. Plus voters were not happy at their cost.

Yes, it still is an investment to provide baggies and containers around the Village, but well worth it. I’m always waving my baggies around (pre-pick-up, of course). Love them. Maybe our visitors with dog companions will also take note.

The new “Pick-Up Mitts” are quite innovative in their design, as they have a pre-folded scoop area to assist with the “grab and flip” technique. Helpfully, each new dispenser placed around the village has internationally recognizable graphics to assist with their use.

So, let’s use them people. It’s well worth it. And thanks to our responsive Woodstock officials who are saving us some money and helping us to “look our best.”   Woodstock Early Birds notice these things, don’t we!?
