Don’t Go There…Right Now

It’s about noon on Saturday and Woodstock Early Bird has just witnessed a stream of ten to 15 cars from New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island apparently convoying into town. Welcome one, Welcome all. First stop: Mac’s Grocery Store.

The purpose of this post is to let you know: Don’t even try to go there right now!   The parking lot is FULL! To capacity.

Woodstock Early Birds —  much as on a good ski day —  have already “gotten in and gotten out” before the crowds. Good job there!

So. Hurricane emergency question:  If one is supposed to fill the bathtub with water in order to have a supply of water to flush the toilet, WHY do toilets not flush during and after storms? Enquiring minds want to know…

Just guessing, but maybe because unless you have a gravity fed system or artesian well, there is probably a water pump in play somewhere in the system, which depends on electricity?
