The news: Curtis Hollow and Turkey Hollow roads are NOT passable at this hour as they have been washed out by rain. Residents along those roads have been informed of the flooding and it has been suggested by Woodstock Dispatch that they stay put
Woodstock Early Bird has just checked with Woodstock Emergency Services and has learned that there are already there are a few flooded out spots in the Woodstock area. We have spoken with Officer Joe Swanson and Officer Jen Hutchins who are both on duty and ready to serve, already a bit soaked from their morning rounds. Bridewater emergency workers are out in the rain to prevent flooding of any roadways — clearing culverts or areas of pooling water as they may run into them.
No power outages have been reported to this point (noon) but Early Bird hears there may be a non-emergency issue with floating port-a-potties at Green Mountain Horse Association.
If you have an emergency dial 911 as always. If you have a line down, flooding to report or similar report contact Dispatch at 457-2887.
