Taftsville Bridge Today

Road closed over the Taftsville Covered Bridge but it still stands on Monday, post Tropical Storm Irene

    Thanks a ton for this picture. Lets hope it’s fully repairable and the repairs can happen quickly. What is the road like on the North side of the river?

    Does anyone know of the condition of River Road from the bridge to Billings Farm ??

    I’m sick about this! Can it be reparied to historic standing? LET’S HOPE SO!

    This was one of the most beautiful and historic covered bridges in Vermont. Let’s all pray it can be restored. Although I don’t live in Vermont, I visit regularly and ADORE this state!
    I pray the covered bridges can all be saved! ! !
