This breaks my heart! The White Cottage has been a family favorite for 4 generations. We will be there buying ice cream and fried clams as soon as we possibly can!
Very sad — we always stocked up on hand-packed ice cream after dining there. Plus, the Farmer’s Market next door was flooded. Where to go now for excellent veggies, sandwiches, and of course fancy chocolates?
I know it’s not the Farmer’s Market BUT, STERN’s in White River Junction is a great place for fresh Veggies and Fruits. No you won’t get sandwiches or fancy chocolates but, it’s a start. 🙂

Hope the White Cottage can be revived; they have the best hamburgers.
