Air National Guard Helicopter Overhead Route 4

Update: The Associated Press is reporting Wednesday morning that the Air National Guard rescued people from Pittsfield as part of their operations, which also included dropping supplies to communities between Woodstock and Rutland.  For the story of a wild wedding and honeymoon go to www.huffingtonpost.com

Always a good sign…an Air National Guard helicopters was flying low over Route 4 about half an hour ago and we are told it’s on its way to “pocketed” areas such as Bridgewater and Killington.

Also, Lonnie from North Bridgewater Road has just hiked into town (about 12-20 miles) and says the road is horribly washed out with 30 foot deep ravines the road. He reports there is a plan in place to get some heavy equipment in ASAP from North Bridgewater neighbor Timken who has the equipment. Early Bird doesn’t know all the details but the plan is to link over (so to speak to Cox District Road)
