One of the wonderful things — at this moment — about the internet is that is allowing us to share and cross-reference news, opinions and simple information. There’s a potential for dissemination of wrong information with Facebook, listservs and blogs.
So, be careful of acting or relying on that information unless it is from an official source. An official source would be Town of Woodstock Manager, local Rep. Alison Clarkson, Police Chief Robbie Blish, Officials from the VTrans, Ambulance Director Pat Cassidy, etc. If you didn’t hear it from them, in an official way, it may not be true. Woodstock Early Bird is trying her best to keep your news accurate. Rep. Clarkson has enlisted some “computer geeks” to help establish what can become your place for “real”, “official” information. More as we know it.
In any case, back to the KUMBAYA of BLOGGERS, those of us who have power and wi-fi access have been able to learn from eachother as we go. We discover others who are following (and blogging) about the Vermont flood situation. We have connected with this blogger, thirtymarensagree, who has connected with us:

Towns everywhere are pulling together to make life better again. Woodstock’s efforts included a local Stone Soup gathering- “bring your spoiling veggies”- and these have been well documented on the Woodstock Early Bird’s blog. I love this write-up of Thursday’s town meeting for its simplicity, honesty and thoroughness.
Check it out. WEB

I want to let your readers know that you now have an international following. My siblings in London (UK, not Minnesota) and Cairo (Egypt, not Illinois), are following events in our town through your blog. Keep up the good work.
