Town of Woodstock officials (Jay Morgan) updated us this morning that any resident with flood debris may take it to the Hartford Transfer Station. They will not charge you. However, bring your driver’s license which verifies you are Vermont resident.
Town Manager Phil Swanson was pretty stern when he commented, “Your truckload better look like real flood-damaged materials. It better look like flood-damaged trash. If it looks like pristine trash you’re gonna’ pay!”
Hartford Transfer Station is NOT ACCEPTING COMMERCIAL VEHICLES FOR FREE . If you have hired a company to help clean up your debris, they will be charged.
Woodstock Refuse and Recycling will accept TRASH from folks who are not current clients. However, you will be charged a dump fee. Their telephone number is 457-1807.
