TGIF, TGIF!

Vermont Maple Syrup essential for your Flood Response Day. KTOO Juneau a community radio station in Juneau, Alaska which understands isolation and the importance of emergency preparedness

Good Morning Early Birds! Wow, some water flowing up on High Street this morning.

However, a reminder for one and all — Until we hear otherwise this is  still  BOIL WATER water. We have not gotten the okay to drink it straight out of the tap. It may be a few days or even a few weeks until we get that, a-okay.

Public Health people. Public Health. Woodstock Aqueduct’s Eric  Wegner IS trying to be very responsible with this precious commodity.  Wegner  informed us (at our community meeting) that yes, the water IS being treated and chlorinated. BUT, with leaks up and down the line and some possible backflow from these areas, there could still be um, junk, in the ‘ole H2O.

Now, how do YOU start your Flood Response mornings? Here at Woodstock Early Bird Central we toss  a fortifying teaspoon of VERMONT MAPLE SYRUP into our java. Sets us right  as they say (for a time) and helps support the Vermont economy. We remember the endorsement of a local Olympic snowboarder who also tosses back a shot of maple syrup  to get her day underway.

9am Flood Response Meeting at the Town  Hall. Public welcome. This is where the Emergency Services folks meet with Trustees and the Town Manager to update eachother on “The Plan Du Jour”.

More as we collect it. WEB
