Wow, that was a long time without one of our main “anchor” businesses right in the center of Woodstock Village.
Woodstock Early Bird has learned that Bentley’s Restaurant in Woodstock will re-open this afternoon for drinks and dinner.
A food and drink purveyor has provided Bentley’s with all the drinking water they need to use for cooking.
That is because tap water, which has started to flow, is still under a “boil order” and we are still being asked to limit our usage of this water — if we have it — since one of the Woodstock Aqueduct pumps that has been replaced is smaller that one the destroyed by Irene.
Last we saw, members of the O’Brien family were locked in finishing their drinks at the bar when it closed abruptly last weekend when the seriousness of Tropical Storm Irene became apparent:
