I am setting up a water distribution center at the Mechanic Street Welcome center as well. This will be bottled water. We also have and will continue to have bottled water at the new West Woodstock Firehouse center, but if you can bring clean containers to fill from our tanker, that will save the bottled water for distribution to other areas if necessary and for those people that don’t have containers. I saw some nice 2 1/2 gallon containers of Poland Spring water in the beverage aisle at Mac’s yesterday for not a lot of money. If you don’t have a container, get one of those and after you use it up, you will have a nice clean container to refill at the tanker.

Please keep up the good work conserving our Aqueduct water!

Bob, we need an update on the Aqueduct Water Situation — are we good to go? Can we do laundry? Some of us absolutely have to have clean clothes for work!

Would you be able to have a conversation with Woodstock Aqueduct’s Eric Wegner or have him send us an official update/email?

Can we drink water yet? Or do we still have a NO BOIL order? It would be helpful to have a daily morning update.

Early Bird also heard that there’s a leak in the pipes up Linden Hill. Is that true?

Hi Julia,  I just talked to Woodstock Aqueduct. They gained only 1 foot overnight which is 30000 gallons. Currently 40 gallons per minute are being used by the community, which means in 12 hours we will be back to where we started yesterday. The tank is currently at 21 feet and the goal is 33 feet to be full. At the rate of consumption right now, we will not only not reach that goal, we will lose “ground”. We as a community have to try to do better on consumption. We are not out of the woods yet and if you don’t believe it, go over to the Elm St bridge- the fire hose you see there is currently part of our Aqueduct system.
