Help: Volunteer Center Open This Weekend

This update on Woodstock Volunteer Activities comes from Tambrey Vutech. The location of the Volunteer Command Center continues to be Fire Station #2 on Route 4 in West Woodstock. Park as far off the road as possible and take care walking along Route 4, Also, if you know anyone who could use some clothing Grange Hall in West Woodstock is now replete with donations from Woodstock residents. There is so much clothing the volunteers are looking into sharing our plenty with area towns:

We anticipate a nice dry weekend and our fellow community members who were affected by the flood are still in need of help. While the needs are starting to taper off – there are still needs. Please join us at the Volunteer Command Center on Friday 10am – 4pm, Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, and Sunday 11 am – 4 pm. We will give out assignments and fresh supplies just dropped off by the Red Cross.

To those in need….the Red Cross has delivered cleaning supplies, baby supplies, shovels, brooms, work gloves, and storage bins for use. Come and get ’em.

Also – the Red Cross will be serving lunch from their trucks during the weekend…..so your energy will be restored. These meals are also available to ANYONE needing a meal.

It’s my Understanding that they are in need of boys pants/jeans. I have 7 pairs of boys pants to donate. I am confused as to where the Grange hall is. Could you explain the location to me? Also, I have my own house cleaning business, working in the Quechee, Hanover, Lebanon, White River areas. I have several clients that are having me pick up donations they have collected as well.

    Thank you,
    Candy

The Grange Hall is also known locally as the former “Rock Church”. It is just a few doors down from Fire Station #2 in West Woodstock. If you ask at the Volunteer Command Center they will point the way for you. We appreciate all the donations and I’m sure area towns will as well!
