It’s a Go-Go: Woodstock Art Festival This Weekend

Woodstock has the pleasure of welcoming artists this weekend with a two-day show centered on the Village Green. This event is brought to you by the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce:

The Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the annual Woodstock Art Festival on September 10 & 11th. The event will be located on The Village Green from 10 Am to 5PM. There will be an opportunity to donate to Woodstock’s disaster relief fund through a Sustainable Woodstock Tent both days.

Join us in still-beautiful Woodstock, Vermont for our annual Art Lovers Weekend, featuring a two-day show and sale on the Village Green, Saturday and Sunday.  The show features artists from Vermont, New England as well as New York and California.  Some of the artists you will meet include Peter Huntoon, Kitty O’Hara   John David Geery and Irene Plontky-Goedecke .

In conjunction with this event, Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park rangers will offer two separate tours of the paintings in the Billings-Rockefeller Mansion collection. The 90-minute  tour, entitled “Conservation Through the Artist’s Eye”,  begins at the National Park Visitor Center. It explores the ways in which art helped pave the way for appreciation and protection of our some of our nation’s most-revered natural resources. Reservations are strongly suggested!           www.nps.gov/mabi
