This is the Ottauquechee River today as seen from the Elm Street or Iron Bridge looking Northwest toward Mt. Tom.
The owners of the two homes in this view had water go all the way up the banks and flooding into their basements. This was true of many homes on River Street in Woodstock Village. We hear that the Jones Family lost their family archives of papers and photos.
