Earlier than we expected…the Woodstock FEMA Disaster Flood Recovery Field Office is OPEN!
It is in West Woodstock along Route 4. There is a long driveway to a parking lot in back behind the Grange Hall/aka former Rock Church. The entry point is from the back near the parking lot.
You will find a check-in desk and then you will be taken to phones/desks/computer by friendly FEMA people who are Early Birds themselves who are ready to answer your question or even — despite our reports to the contrary — will help anyone SIGN UP for FEMA individual assistance.
As we all know, not everyone has internet access, so, please, if you know of folks who need to get going on getting some immediate financial aid, this is a good place to start. Let them know. We already saw people being shown how to dial-up for federal dollars.
