Woodstock Aqueduct System Squirts and Spurts…

Oh, dear, we’re still experiencing some squirts and spurts in our drinking water system. Repairs are ongoing…pumps and pipes and so on…resulting in a few continuing wee problems. .

Why right near Woodstock Early Bird Central on High Street an Early Bird detected  a smaller gusher coming out of the road surface. Nice steady stream heading down into Kedron Brook. I see more digging in our future.

And,  we hear that a little bit too much Woodstock Aqueduct water pressure yesterday (which we have been warned about) may be the cause of the sprinkler system activating in the Town Hall basement yesterday. That means the Town Hall got its own dose of flood water, albeit indirectly.

We hear that “Water Boy” and “Dutiful Wife Who is Due Diamonds” cleaned up the mess. Town Manager Phil Swanson publically thanked these volunteer good Samaritans for the pick-up.

In any case, what all of this means — the “squirts and spurts” —  that yes, we need to continue to keep bottled drinking water on hand because you never know. There are going to even be some SCHEDULED water outages.  So.  LOTS of free bottled water available, BTW, behind the Woodstock Emergency Services Building. Stock up. Enjoy. It’s on the house!  First come. First Served.
