NOW, AFTER THE FLOOD…..Red Shoes – a Symbol of Good…can I say they are symbols of what awaits us all? “No place like home?”….eventually….for those who have lost so much? Can putting on the RED SHOES (if even mentally) symbolize being brave enough to Call Out for help when you may need it most which could be NOW AFTER THE FLOOD….in the beginning of the recovery phase of this abnormalty?

No matter what your experience has been of the Flood day, you had an experience…did you hide, loose track of time, help someone else, walk and observe, did you have to see your house fill up with water or be taken down the river, swim out of a window with your brother? No matter what happened for you, if you feel anything about it within, don’t go it alone….

PUT ON YOUR RED SHOES AND WALK TO A FRIEND, NEIGHBOR OR STRANGER AND ASK FOR HELP. Maybe you want to talk, or work, or just review your experience, or maybe you have no place, money or means and inside are crying out! BE BRAVE, “PUT ON YOUR RED SHOES” AND ASK FOR HELP.

If you contact the local flood relief center in West Woodstock they will tell you about all the resources that were listed at last night’s meeting about “critical incident”…what to do now when the initial outpouring of help has begun to soften.

RED SHOES ARE GOOD and life is supposed to feel good for us all. You can borrow mine!

    Smiles and love,
    Sandi
