Woodstock Volunteer Center Needs Weekend Workers

From one of  Woodstock’s Volunteer Coordinators, Sari White:

With good weather predicted this weekend – we are still in need of volunteers to help those who suffered the consequences of Hurricane Irene. Come one…Come all! (WEB says: Dress appropriately for down and dirty work — Boots: Yes!  Toeless Sandals: No! )

If you are able to help, please report to the West Woodstock Fire Station #2.

We will open at 9:00 am on Saturday and at 10:00 am on Sunday.

For those who lost household items in the flood – we have extensive lists of great items available at the West Woodstock Fire Station. Stop in and see if any of the offerings meet your needs.

Water and MRE’s (Meals Ready to Eat) are also still available at this station.

Please continue to conserve the towns water….and come get what we have to offer!

Julia, do you know the name of the attorney that is helping the Riverside Park owners?

Janice, I am not sure specifically. I can try to find out for sure.

However, I have heard that Richard Windish has been most helpful. Maybe call Hayes and Windish and they can send you in the right direction. I also know there are other attorneys in town who may be offering to help as well.
