As many of you know Woodstock holds a Tropical Storm Irene Flood Victims Cabaret Music Fundraiser Sunday at 4pm at the Town Hall.
Great bands will be on hand to provide a “free” show as the hat gets passed for contributions for Woodstock area residents in need.
Organizers are trying to work on alternate “feed” sites for overflow audiences. One location may be upstairs at the Town Hall. Another location may be at the Woodstock Elementary School. Firm details later.
In any case, what you need to know is that organizers ask that you arrive early — maybe even as early as 2pm — for what promises to be a popular event.
While local radio stations are promoting this as a “Joe Perry/Aerosmith” show, it is not meant to be that. It is meant to be a fundraiser. Perry has graciously offered to help the people of Woodstock with his appearance will play with another popular local band. It should go without saying that this is meant to be a FUNDRAISER. Bring your checkbook and enjoy. Checks can be made out to the Woodstock Flood Response funding “vehicle” the 501-C-3 organization known as Sustainable Woodstock.
More updates on this event as we get them….
