I am shocked, saddened and so so sorry to learn of this news.
What a terrible loss, to Hasse’s beloved family, her community, her many, many students. Wherever Hasse lived she was a mover and a do-er. Always opening her house and making you feel welcome. She had so much to give …. to so many.
I have so, so many fond memories of the Halley’s time here in Burlington.
I just can’t believe it.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Halley family, with Steve, Craig, Adam, Liza, Ben and all of the grandchildren and extended family. What a great loss.

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Hasse. She was my principle at the ASDS Jewish day school. I liked her and admired her energy and caring.

It’s a terrible shock to hear this sad news about Hasse. She was a force of nature, a mover and a shaker wherever she lived. I remember from our years in Burlington Hasse’s warm welcoming wisdom. This is a tremendous loss for her family as well as community.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers,
Laurie, Steve, & John Parker, Elaine, BJ, & Baby Eitan Elias

Dear Steve,
Carla and I were so saddened to hear of Hasse’s passing. She was indeed “A Fource of Nature” as so many have said.
We still remember how her spirit and all of your families love touched Carla, Adam and I when we were with you all on Shabbat so many years ago. I also remember those years in group together and the special connections we shared as we opened our hearts to one another.
We hold all of you in our hearts…….
In sadness and love,
Carla and David Osgood

Dear Steve,
I am feeling so sad today after just learning of Hasse’s accident. I have fond memories of Hasse, you and your children as our fun-loving and hard working neighbors many years ago in Jericho. May all the good years you shared with Hasse bring you comfort going forward. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am so sorry. Sincerely, Jean Anderson

I am shocked to hear of this news. I remember Hasse as being my English teacher 30 years ago at Essex Junction High School and I have had the opportunity across time to remain in touch with her through our consignnent clothing business in Essex Jct – where she has been a consignor for 30+ years. I have followed her travels, her amazing life of giving, and she will remain a powerful woman in my mind forever, one I will never forget. The planet has lost a tremendous soul. Sending out blessings.

Steve and all your family – there is not enough space to tell you the memories that I will always have of Hasse. She was one “GREAT LADY” that told it like it was and I will always remember her birthday tap dancing!! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.
Love,

Steve, Sometimes words come easily and I can express exactly what is in my heart. Sometimes I cannot. When I can’t, it frustrates me and I often hide away in my shame, saying nothing, but I have realized that it is better to simply admit to you that I don’t know the words to give to you, but want you to know that I am deeply saddened at the loss of your dear wife and mother to your children. I am sending prayers and many thoughts for all of you.
Love,
Karla
