Mmmm Good! Roast Turkey Dinner Saturday at Masonic Temple

Ya’ gotta’ hand it to our friends the Masons, they see an opportunity to help out and bingo: Turkey Dinner!

For everyone: You, your friends, your out-of-town guests who might not be able to get reservations anywhere else at our fine local establishments.  Because, yes, we recommend reservations throughout the land this weekend!

The Masons (you know,  the ones who meet at the Masonic Lodge on Central Street or Pleasant Street or Rt. 4) are hosting their annual Fall Foliage  full-on Turkey Dinner this Saturday evening from 4pm to 8pm.

Dinner features  roast turkey, all the fixings(cranberry sauce!)  and local organic vegetables…plus homemade pies,  is  traditionally held on this,  one of the busiest weekends of the year.

Here’s the low down:  Tomorrow! 4-8pm  Cost: $12 for adults $8 for kids.

And woo-hoo…although I’ve never really heard of a take-out turkey dinner –(why not “set awhile” with your neighbors?) — the Masons  say “Take-Out is Available!”

In other foliage weekend news: UPDATE: Beth Finalayson of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce has just asked WEB  to remind one and all of the Penny Sale! What is Fall in Woodstock without the Penny Sale? Too  much. A big fundraiser. Bring your dollar bills!  All this info is on the Woodstock Chamber website: www.woodstockvt.com

The Apple and Crafts Fair takes place at the East End of Town Saturday and Sunday.  If you’re thinking of heading West, check out the Dock Dogs weekend at Killington. Apparently an “amateur competition” is scheduled for 11:30 for Saturday and Sunday. Who’s  calling our dogs “amateurs” ?  We know our pooches always know exactly  what they’re doing!
