Woodstock Police have posted on their Monday-updated Twitter feed the names of those involved in a three-vehicle accident on Saturday.
According to information provided, those involved were Jennifer Brown, 26, Braintree, Vermont; Robert Forsch, 56, New Jersey; David McGuire, 60, Woodstock, Vermont. There is no report of citations issued.
We do not know how many people were transported from the scene or the nature of their injuries. Responding Officer Lisa Wilding referred all requests for information to Police Chief Blish.
WEB appreciates the timely posting of this routine incident data and looks forward to more routine posting of this kind of information.
FYI, as Woodstock Early Bird has written about in another post, we believe the routine and timely posting of data from an incident or accident (forgive us but Paul Simon lyrics seem to have worked their way into this post) by Woodstock Police would be helpful. As an example, we present a routine press release issued by Hartford Police about an incident last night. These releases certainly don’t tell the whole story, nor do they reflect further investigation. However, they do provide us with basic information showing that police operate according to consistent, reportable standards with everyone whether they are known to the officers or not. The other plus to providing this kind of information immediately is that the public may end up assisting police in their investigations in the case of assault, theft, burglaries, hit-and-run’s and so forth:
