It has taken over three weeks from this accident before the
name of the driver was released.

Also, why has there been no official statement on the accident,
i.e. giving the basic details, speed of the car, and exact
time of the accident to the public?

Why the long delay in releasing this information?

Reply from WEB: As you will see in other media reports, police say they didn’t want to release the name until their investigation was complete — not that we have that report yet. It is being forwarded to Windsor County State’s Attorney.

Note that in the case of the recent Sharon fatal accident basic info was released immediately with names of all parties involved and then the investigation was, of course, thoroughly conducted.

I read the front page article this morning in the Valley News. It seems the the bottom line why the information was not released earlier was, “It slipped my mind…” Chief Robbie Blish

Have any of you thought how this person and his family feel? Sometimes things happen so quickly that it is just an accident!!!! Maybe “Mayberry” is good……..
