Anyone been helped out by a Woodstock firefighter or two in the past few months?
We think so.
Woodstock Early Bird thinks we’re glad that whole Emergency Services Department was around to help us through our major brush with Tropical Storm Irene!
How about shaking all that stuff off while thanking our firefighter/first responder friends for their help? They’re volunteers who might appreciate a good turn-out to celebrate THEM. This is it: TOMORROW NIGHT…
Saturday, November 5th at the Woodstock Country Club…FREE and Open to the Public…Stop by to see all our firefighter’s all gussied up for the….
Woodstock Firefighters Relief Association Annual Ball!
7:00 pm — Cocktails (cash bar) and Hors D’Oeuvres!
8:00pm — Dancing with Joey Leone’s Chop Shop!
Dancing! Yes! Shake-it, baby. No need to dress up but heck, isn’t it time to discard the “flood-wear” and bring out the bling? We know you have some, some where, right? This is your big chance and we’re just sayin’, not too many opportunities to “step out” all pretty and nice….
Obviously, or not so obviously, a note that The Woodstock Firefighters Relief Association is likely to accept donations/contributions to help those who work and work tirelessly to keep us safe and, most recently, DRY.
We know that the Woodstock Fire Department was on hand to pump out quite a few basements of late…clean up debris in yards, move tanks and sure, they’ll put out your fire and yup, be “on scene” if your vehicle crashes or goes over a bank.
This is not a private party at all. It is meant to be a public event and the WFRA would love to see everyone come out for a good time. Be there. Aloha.
