Central Vermont Public Service has just informed Woodstock Early Bird that a transformer is over-heating behind Gillingham’s Store and needs some repair work to prevent damage or explosion. So, they are scheduling an outage for 12:00 noon that will affect some buildings and offices on the corner of Elm and Central Streets. The outage is only expected to last for one hour.
These buildings include One the Green (The Folk Art Building) and Five the Green, Seven the Green and the Prince and the Pauper (Mercy, imagine if this were evening!).
For anyone who has been wondering about the flicking lights in their place of business this morning….Beat-up electrical transformer to blame.
