Break-Ins: Police On Look-Out for White Chevy Blazer

Author Gareth Henderson

At Tuesday’s Village Trustees meeting, Woodstock Police Chief Robbie Blish announced that the two French Road homes were burglarized within the last 24 hours, in addition to break-ins on Rose Hill Road and a couple others in  Pomfret and Hartford.

Woodstock Police, working with Vermont State Police and Hartford Police,  are on the lookout for a suspicious vehicle – a white Chevy Blazer – that was seen in the area at the times of the break-ins.

Blish reports  that  items stolen from homes were valuable objects, some jewelry  that can be moved quickly on the open market. He said the nature of the targeted items leads officials to  believe that drug use may be the motivational force behind the  break-ins.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant, report suspicious activity to the police, and to lock their home and vehicles. The police can be reached at (802) 457-1420 if anyone has information that might be helpful in the investigation.
