Entrepreneurial Geek-A-Zoids: Techie “Meet-Up” In Rio Blanco

Woodstock Early Bird would be SO all over this techie meet-up in White River Junction were she “in the house.”  Alas, not.

However, YOU, your fabulous ideas  and your fave  geek-a-zoid friends have an opportunity to “get with” people who are making tech stuff happen right here in Vermont and New Hampshire (read: Upper Valley).  Happens Thursday, December 1st, brought to you by a whole bunch of groups (investors, tech experts and econ. development peeps). Here’s the official press release from the Green Mountain Economic Development Council:

Thinking about starting a technology firm? Got a growing business? Looking for interns? Or, do you just want to connect with other entrepreneurs and investors? If so, then please meet up at the Tech @ White River Junction event on Thursday, December 1st, at the Tuckerbox Restaurant in White River Junction, VT from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

In partnership with the Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation and The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, several private and nonprofit investment and economic development organizations from around Vermont are visiting the White River Junction area to engage, share, and learn from local entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors.

Tech @ White River Junction is a “no speeches” style of networking event series, modeled after the highly effective Emerging Growth Company networking events recently started in Burlington. “These events are consistently proving they create value by helping technology entrepreneurs and business owners connect with resources, collaborate, and propel their businesses forward.” said Andrew Stickney, Vice President of the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET), “it is great to be meeting in White River Junction, where we can bring the depth of resources from both sides of the river together in support of the innovation economy.”

Organizers for the third Tech @ Vermont Meet-up  event include the Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation, Fresh Tracks Capital, LP, The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies, North Country Angels, and the Vermont Technology Council, among others.
