Police to Issue Halley Fatal Update This Week

Windsor County State’s Attorney Robert Sand has  reported to Woodstock Early Bird that his office  set  Monday, November 28th as the deadline for review of the completed investigation into the October 1st death of Hasse Halley as a result of a single vehicle accident on Woodstock’s Rec Center Bridge.  Halley was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by the vehicle in the road just outside her home.

Contacted today, Woodstock Police Chief Robbie Blish said he was holding back on issuing any press release about whether charges would be or would not be brought against the driver of the vehicle that hit Halley until he had ” a package” of materials to release. He did not say  if this is the full investigation report or simply the findings of the Windsor County State’s Attorney’s Office.  Woodstock Early Bird will issue the findings as soon as they are released. Whatever the findings are, we understand this has been a tragedy for the community and all involved.  In the meantime, here is some other news:
