Upper Valley Strong: Irene Flood Response Group Garners Award

This is a report from the Associated Press:

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — Continuing efforts to recover from Tropical Storm Irene in areas of Vermont and New Hampshire along the Connecticut River are getting a $75,000 boost from private groups in the two states.

The group Upper Valley Strong is made up of 50 local nonprofit agencies, churches, schools and government agencies.

The award came from the Granite United Way, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and The Vermont Community Foundation.

After funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency have been disbursed, the groups in the Upper Valley will assess needs and work to meet those needs.

since the flood I have not been able to get on my feet , try as try might, and after my services as disaster relief coordinator were no longer needed ,it seems as though the entire town of Woodstock has turned thier back on me .I feel slighted. If anyone can help please let me know I am presently homeless and have many skills and talents to offer.
