Just received this note from National Park Service Ranger (and Bagpiper) Scott Davison of Woodstock, who’d like the newly formed “South Woodstock Hikers” (and everyone!) to know about a fun (we hope!) New Year’s Day hike he will be leading this weekend. Woodstock Early Bird has learned much about observing nature from Scott and highly recommends it to young and old alike:
Perhaps those South Woodstock Hikers would like to take part in the Vermont State Parks “First Day Hike” on New Years’ day at various parks in the area.
I am leading a 1-hour hike at 1pm at Gifford Woods State Park in Killington.
