INCIDENT:  Icy Roads

 DATE/TIME:  01-23-12/ 17:40 hours

 LOCATION (specific):  Royalton Coverage area                

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  Due to deteriorating weather conditions the roads in the VSP-Royalton’s coverage area are icing over causing treacherous driving conditions.  At this time secondary roads are particularly dangerous and  the State Police would like to remind the Public to stay at home if possible and if driving is necessary to drive at reduced speeds

    Yes, It’s scary. Just returned from WLeb at 8:45 PM. Paved roads are slushy under moderate rain. Temperatures are 33-34 degrees. Dirt road (Morgan Hill) is glare ice. Thank those lucky stars for studded snow tires and AWD. All others should stay home.
