Update @ Noon: Obviously, for those of you in Town, the power was restored to most locations.
Woodstock Early Bird Katherine Webster reports that in the Village the power was restored within about two hours. However, at her last report Mont Vert Cafe and Daily Grind were still “dark”.

A manhole fire in Woodstock knocked out power early this morning throughout the village and town. The word from the Woodstock Police is that power will be out for most of today.
A CVPS spokesperson said at about 8 am that a crew was on their way to Woodstock.
Bridgewater and Plymouth were also affected by the outage.
WEB will keep everyone in the loop as things proceed.

Power is back on Cox District, hurrah!
Thanks Jen. WEB confesses to being out of town and four hours behind the breaking news so Woodstock Early Bird updates “on the ground” are most appreciated! See you all soon! WEB

Hi Julia! Looks like all is up and running. Just came back from Billings Farm & Museum and their very special “Baby Farm Animal Day” is going full swing…lots of people – adults and kids. All kinds of events and, of course, some of the most beautiful baby animals you’ll EVER see. And yes, I am partial to baby Jersey cows!

Any news on what caused the explosion?
Glad things are “up and running” so quickly!
