SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 5/30/12, Troopers from the Vermont State Police responded to the area of mile marker 54, on Interstate 91, in the Town of Windsor, Vermont for a report of a vehicle crash.

Through initial investigation, it was revealed that there were two separate two vehicle crash. There was an initial two vehicle crash involving the vehicles listed above, followed by a two vehicle crash involving tractor trailer units. The tractor trailer units continued on the roadway not stopping.

The initial crash is still being investigated but a cause may be defective equipment. The defective equipment may have caused vehicle one to strike vehicle two from behind. When the two vehicle collided, vehicle one left the roadway and rolled over numerous times in the median. The operator, Gayda, had to be extracted and was sent to the Mount Ascutney Hospital.
