“Just Digging A Hole….”

Big operation in Woodstock Village right outside of Bentley’s in the location of the weirdly named but non-existent “DUMMY”.

So, what all is going on?  (Big bulldozer, excavator and lots of shovelling at turn from Central Street on to Elm Street)

Woodstock Aqueduct’s Eric Wegner explains, “Just digging a hole….”

It’s gonna’ be a fire water line for Bentley’s! Good Idea!

Have we mentioned that Bentley’s has had a bit of a facelift recently? The bar and restaurant feel lighter, brighter and roomier with a completely new summery yellow paint job, removal of the barrier between bar and restaurant and new furniture being added or replaced throughout. We also hear from a direct source that the entire restaurant kitchen was fully shut down for a day or so for a thorough top to bottom power-washing.

Woodstock Early Bird recently enjoyed the chicken schnitzel off the regular entree menu and was delighted to find perfectly cooked vegetables (still maintaining a crunch!) on the side of a lovely mound of mashed potatoes.  We appreciate the regular greeting and service of folks like Paul Wildasin who suggested to Early Bird that it was time to pause from enjoying a refreshingly cool Sea Breeze to mention Bentley’s upgrades.

And so it is… We also look forward to raising a toast to Bentley’s new water line!
