Woodstock Early Bird has obtained a listing from Attorney Edward Kopelson of businesses that he says make wheelchair access impossible in the Village of Woodstock. This list does not indicate filing of separate complaints, although these businesses may have been informed of their potential or real ADA compliance issues.
This list was provided to the Vermont Human Rights Commission in a complaint filed by Mr. Kopelson after a June 2011 visit to Woodstock. Mr. Kopelson, whose specialty is dealing with ADA (Americans with Disability Act) issues, provided the approximate measurements (The Specs) of steps and obstructions to wheelchair use.
