Help Pick New Glasses for Early Bird!

Eyes on Elm: 457-7227 http://www.eyesonelm.com

UPDATE: THE WINNER IS CLEARLY FRAME NUMBER ONE! THANKS WOODSTOCK EARLY BIRDS FOR THE INPUT!  -WEB

Woodstock Early Bird needs a new pair of glasses and we are so trillingly thrilled that we don’t have to go to West Lebanon anymore to find a great selection of frames since “Eyes on Elm” has opened. Who would think that picking out a new pair of glasses would actually be fun? I mean really, it has always been kinda’ a boring pain-in-the-you-know-what. However.  We feature here three selections made by Early Bird and seek your input!

We must welcome Eyes on Elm’s owner and optician Cary Agin and his whole family to Woodstock. They are interesting and fun and oh yeah, they are selling glasses frames in a lovely space filled with very cool frames if that’s what you’re after or traditional “let’s-get-‘er’done” frames that stay well-within-the-box.  Cary’s wife, Malena Florin, of Argentina origin, is also teaching Spanish here in town. They have an adorable two-year old girl named Orly. The Agin family even shared their delicious Argentinian dulce de leche cookies with us during a recent visit.  It feels like family as we have also “Met the Parents”!

Now here’s the deal with Cary. He will spend whatever time and discussion is needed to get you into a pair of glasses frames that will make your every living day delightful. As some have noted (his wife included) he can talk all day long about specifications or style whichever is of most interest to you. In Woodstock Early Bird’s case, he does NOT hold back with his opinion. Woodstock Early Bird was told in no uncertain terms that the round frame did NOT enhance her already ahem, cherubic, er, rosy, face. We were offered other options. We appreciate Cary’s brutal and quite helpful honesty. He wants us to look good!

What do you think?

BTW, Eyes on Elm, which has pretty much any glasses frame “line” you are looking for, participates in a program that donates glasses to those in need. You can read more about it at their website: www.eyesonelm.com. The store, on Elm Street, in the old Heaven Sent space, is open six days, closed Wednesdays.
