Vermont State Police are investigating burglaries that occurred in Barnard on Monday:

DATE/TIME: 06/04/2012 1700 hours
LOCATION (specific): Amsden Road, Barnard / Masterson Road, Barnard
On the above date and time, Vermont State Police received multiple calls from home owners in the Barnard, Vermont area informing us that their homes had been burglarized while they were gone at work.
Investigation revealed that the unknown suspect(s) forced entry into one home and gain access into another home that was unsecure. Jewelry, sterling silver, electronic equipment, and other item were taken from the homes.
The Vermont State Police are actively investigating these burglaries and have some promising leads in which they will follow up with.
In the mean time all citizens should consider locking all doors and windows before leaving for the day.
All citizens are encouraged to call the State Police with any information they have or even to report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
