Tee Up: Golf Classic Fundraiser for Rec Center

Woodstock Early Birder Dave Doubleday has asked us to pass along this information about a “Golf Classic” fundraiser for the Recreation Center. Here is the info about the June 29th event (for planners-ahead that is in two weeks!):

It’s a Four Man Scramble with a 1 p.m. Shotgun Start. (Four-man includes women). Its our Third Annual and new this year is a dinner and a live auction which includes a one night stay at the Woodstock Inn and Resort and an autographed wedge from Keegan Bradley that he used this year. There will be individual contests and prizes.
We are doing this to raise money as we are one of the only Recreational Centers in the country that is not totally funded by the town. Our money from the Faulkner Trust that started the Rec back in 1944, gets cut every year and this year we took a big cut in their financial support.
The Rec Center provides quality programs and activities for the community and people can help by becoming a hole sponsor or entering as a team in this year’s event. For more info go to www.woodstockrec.com.
